US H-1B Visa Stamping: Document Checklist & Interview Questions
Work visa stamping for professionals with an approved H-1B petition (I-797). First stamping, renewals and change of employer.
After USCIS approves your H-1B petition (Form I-797) you still need the visa stamped at a US consulate. The interview waiver (dropbox) is no longer available for H-1B or H-4 applicants, so plan for an in-person interview. Since 15 December 2025, H-1B and H-4 applicants must also set their social-media profiles to public, and many appointments in India were rescheduled to later dates — check the scheduling portal often and use the emergency request process only if you qualify.
